This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you visit our website at volyatechinc.com (the “Site”) and when you contact us through it. Please read this Privacy Policy carefully. If you do not agree with it, please do not use the Site.
The Site is an informational website that introduces the Company and its services and lets you get in touch with us. This Privacy Policy forms part of, and should be read together with, our Terms of Use and our Cookie Policy. Personal data that we process in the course of providing services to a client under a separate written agreement is governed by that agreement and any related data-processing terms, not by this Privacy Policy.
1. Information We Collect
We collect information about you in the following ways:
- Information you provide to us: When you contact us through the Site (for example, through a contact form or by email) or subscribe to our communications, we collect the personal data you choose to provide, such as your name, email address, telephone number, company or organization, and the content of your message or inquiry.
- Information collected automatically: When you access the Site, we and our service providers automatically collect certain information, such as your IP address, browser type, operating system, device information, access times, referring and exit pages, and information about how you interact with the Site. We collect this information through cookies and similar technologies (see Section 4). Some of this information is also collected by our third-party advertising and analytics partners, such as LinkedIn and Google, through cookies and similar technologies for analytics and advertising purposes, subject to the cookie choices you make through our cookie consent banner, as described in our Cookie Policy.
The Site does not offer user accounts or online purchases, and we therefore do not collect account credentials or payment or financial information through the Site. Please do not submit sensitive personal data, or any confidential or proprietary information, through the Site’s contact channels.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- respond to your inquiries, requests, and messages, and communicate with you;
- provide you with information about the Company and the services you have asked about;
- send you newsletters or other communications you have subscribed to, and enable you to opt out of them;
- operate, maintain, secure, and improve the Site, and monitor and analyze usage and trends;
- comply with our legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Use; and
- with your consent, for any other purpose disclosed to you at the time we collect the information.
Where the European Union or United Kingdom General Data Protection Regulation applies, we process your personal data on one or more of the following legal bases: your consent; our legitimate interests in operating, promoting, and improving our business and the Site; and compliance with our legal obligations.
3. How We Disclose Your Information
We may disclose the information we collect in the following circumstances:
- Service Providers: with third parties that perform services for us or on our behalf, such as website hosting, data analytics, email delivery, and IT and security services.
- Advertising and Analytics Partners: with third-party advertising and analytics providers, such as LinkedIn and Google, which use cookies and similar technologies to help us analyze use of the Site and to deliver and measure advertising, including advertising shown to you on other websites and platforms (cross-context behavioral advertising).
- By Law or to Protect Rights: where we believe disclosure is necessary to comply with a legal obligation or legal process, to enforce our Terms of Use, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of the Company, our users, or others.
- Business Transfers: in connection with, or during negotiations of, any merger, sale of company assets, financing, or acquisition of all or a portion of our business.
- Affiliates: with our affiliates, whom we require to honor this Privacy Policy.
- With Your Consent: with other parties when you have consented to the disclosure.
We do not sell your personal data for monetary consideration. However, because we use advertising and analytics cookies, we disclose online identifiers and usage data to our advertising partners, which may be considered a “sale” or “sharing” of personal data, or the use of personal data for “targeted advertising”, under certain U.S. state privacy laws. Where consent is required (for example, in the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom), we use these cookies only after you have given your consent through our cookie consent banner, and you can withdraw your consent at any time. You can also opt out as described in Section 9 (Your Privacy Rights).
4. Cookies and Tracking Technologies
We use cookies, web beacons, tracking pixels, and similar technologies on the Site to operate and secure it, remember your preferences, analyze how the Site is used, and deliver and measure advertising (including through the LinkedIn Insight Tag and Google Ads remarketing). We use non-essential cookies (including analytics and advertising cookies) only with your consent, which you can give or withdraw at any time through our cookie consent banner and cookie-settings link. For details about the cookies we use, the advertising partners involved, and how you can control them, please refer to our Cookie Policy posted on the Site.
5. Data Retention
We retain personal data only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, including to respond to your inquiries, to satisfy any legal, accounting, or reporting requirements, and to establish, exercise, or defend legal claims. When personal data is no longer needed, we delete it or anonymize it.
6. Security of Your Information
We use administrative, technical, and physical security measures designed to help protect your personal data. While we have taken reasonable steps to secure the personal data you provide to us, please be aware that no security measures are perfect or impenetrable, and no method of data transmission can be guaranteed against any interception or other type of misuse.
7. International Data Transfers
We are located in the United States, and the information we collect is processed in the United States and may be processed in other countries where we or our service providers operate. If you access the Site from outside the United States, your personal data may be transferred to, and processed in, countries whose data-protection laws may differ from those of your own country. Where we transfer personal data from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, we take steps to ensure that appropriate safeguards are in place, such as the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses.
